Discovering Homo Naledi
The Glacier Cradle Traverse takes in the trails around the most significant archaeological site in the world, the Cradle of Humankind. In the Rising Star cave system, in the Cradle, paleoanthropologist and National Geographic Explorer-In-Residence Lee Berger made a remarkable discovery; a find which would go on to become known as Homo Naledi. Homo Nadedi is a new species of human ancestor that could very well change the way we think about human ancestry and evolution. To help you understand just how special it is to ride in the Cradle of Humankind here are the three videos about that 2013 expedition.
